Information We Collect
Our primary purpose in collecting personal information is to facilitate operation of the timeoffwork.com system. Use of first names, last names, and email addresses are essential for identification and communication between parties in your company who may request and/or manage requests for time off. Use of Company names, street addresses, and Zip Codes (but not city or state) are required to differentiate companies and specific branches with identical company names. Use of employee hire dates are used to determine how many paid days off a given employee is eligible to take for a given range of time. There is very little other personal information that we collect from you directly.
We automatically track certain information based upon your behavior on the Site. We use this information to do internal research on our users' demographics, interests, and behavior to better understand, protect and serve you and our community. This information may include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on the Site or not), which URL you next go to (whether this URL is on the Site or not), your computer browser information, and your IP address.
"Cookies" are small files placed on your hard drive for various reasons. Cookies may help some website provide information that is targeted to your interests. One reason a website may download a cookie onto your computer is to allow you to enter your password less frequently during a session. While cookies are not malicious, we find them overused on the internet. We have designed timeoffwork.com to function with only one cookie which is a "session cookie" which we use to ensure that once you have started a session on TimeOffWork.com that your connection is terminated if there is no activity after a certain amount of time. This is to ensure if you leave your computer with an open TimeOffWork.com window someone else won't be able to enter data on your behalf.

We aggregate (gather up data across all user accounts) company and or personal information and disclose such information in a non-company identifiable manner and/or non-personally identifiable manner to advertisers and other third parties for their marketing and promotional purposes. However, in these situations, we do not disclose to these entities any information that could be used to identify specific companies or you personally. Certain information, such as your name, email address, and password, are not disclosed to these third parties in a personally identifiable manner without your explicit consent.
Email & Spam
We do not rent or sell the email addresses in our system.
TimeOffWork.com and our users do not tolerate spam. We have specifically designed timeoffwork.com to disallow inter-company mass e-mailing capabilities in order to thwart abuse.
By design, there is no functionality built into the timeoffwork.com system for users in one company to see or access data in a different company nor is there any functionality for users in one company to communicate via email with users in a different company.
